| un articolo dal 'Paisley Daily Express' racconta dell'incontro di Gerry con due gemelli di Paisley mentre era al nightclub (vedendo la foto dell'articolo, la maglia azzurra l'ha indossata al Karbon il 24 Dic ) Paisley twins meet movie hero Gerard Butler TWINS Stephen and Nicholas McGhee got an early Christmas surprise when they bumped in to Hollywood hunk Gerard Butler in a nightclub.
The boys, from Paisley, were having a few drinks with friends in 29 Private Members Club, Glasgow, when they spotted fellow Buddie Gerard, who is originally from Ralston.
Gerard – who has starred in films including 300 and PS I Love You – was back home in Scotland to enjoy a low-key Christmas with family and friends. Stephen and Nicholas, who live in Lochfield, noticed that one section of the club was busier that the rest on Christmas Eve and wondered why. Stephen told the Paisley Daily Express: “One part of the place was quite busy and we couldn’t work out why. Then we realised it was him.
“ We initially asked him if we could have our picture taken and he said he would come back to us in two minutes, and walked away. We never thought we would see him again, but he came back and came over to our table and asked us if we still wanted a photo. “So we said hello and told him we are from Paisley and he said he was originally from Ralston.”
Stephen added: “He was being mobbed by women who were watching his every move and followed him out of the club when he left. “Singer Darius Campbell was also in on the night but no-one seemed to be bothering with him so he managed to have a quiet drink. The 26-year-old brothers, who both work for Spark Of Genius in Paisley, noticed that Gerard, who has been living and working in America for years, has a hybrid accent.
Stephen added: “You can tell there is still some Paisley in him!” Gerard, who trained to be a lawyer, says he is proud of his Scottish roots, but he caused controversy last year by claiming that growing up in Paisley was like living in a “war zone”.
Comments he made about his home town in an interview for American style magazine Angeleno left Paisley’s civic leaders raging. Gerard – who was raised in upmarket Ralston – claimed that, as a youngster, he regularly crossed through an “insane” part of Paisley to buy shopping for his mum.
Gerard, who has been romantically linked with a string of beautiful women, including Jennifer Aniston, said: “It was like going into the land of the movie The Warriors.
“I’d go down there and play SAS, trying to get in and get out without being wounded or killed. “There were so many people on that street that ended up in prison. It was truly an insane area.” Our photo shows (left) Nicholas and Stephen with Gerard Butlerhttp://www.paisleydailyexpress.co.uk/renfr...87085-27893257/
