''Geostorm'' by Dean Devlin will be released on Oct. 20, 2017 in the US and Ed Harris has joined the cast and will play the role of the Secretary Dekkom.
Ed Harris is all set to take on the role of the Secretary Of State. His role is pivotal in the movie as he tries to save the earth from a ''devastating man-made storm.'' His boss's role is played by Andy García. Garcia is playing the role of President Palma in the movie and becomes a target to be assassinated. He also tries to save him and plays a crucial role in the mission to save Earth in the movie.

Gerard Butler will play the role of Jake, the satellite designer who teams up with his estranged brother Max played by Jim Sturgess, to save the world from an ''epic man-made storm.'' Apparently the world's climate-controlling satellites develop some faults and start malfunctioning. Max had plotted the plan to assassinate President Palma in the movie.
Abbie Cornish, who plays the role of Agent Sarah seems to have a significant role in the movie. She is the love interest of Max (Jim Sturgess). The viewers can expect some nice romantic undertones amidst the high-octane drama. The fans can hope for some steamy scenes in the movie which will entertain the viewers amidst the drama of space shuttles and plot to kill the president.
Dana Goldberg will produce the movie along with Dean Devlin, David Ellison, Rachel Olschan and Marc Roskin, reported comingsoon.net. So this star studded movie is expected to do well in the box-office, however there are critics which do not feel the same. There were many reviews in the media which talked about a weak plot which might not be able to compete against all the upcoming movies to be released in the same weekend.
The makers of this movie originally had planned to release this movie on Mar. 25, and later pushed it to Jan. 13, 2017. As per the latest updates, it will be released on Oct. 20, 2017. Alexandra Lara will play the role of Ute Fassbinder, The Wrap reported.
