Gira voce che si stia pensando ad una nuova versione cinematografica de "L'isola del tesoro" con Guy Ritchie alla regia...chi scrive,facendo notare che il regista ama lavorare con attori che ha già diretto,non sarebbe sorpreso se Gerry ottenesse un ruolo qualunque in questo possibile film...
GUY RITCHIE TO GO IN SEARCH OF ‘TREASURE ISLAND’Looks like Hollywood is getting set to modernize another classic and director Guy Ritchie seems to be the go to guy for such a task, having helmed the two successful Sherlock Holmes films with Robert Downey Jr. Now he’s got a new classic he’s going to be taking on for Warner Bros.
Deadline has the news that Ritchie has been attached to direct a modern version of the 1883 Robert Louis Stevenson classic ‘Treasure Island’ from a script by Alex Harakis. Long John Silver, Jim Hawkins, maps with an ‘X,’ pirates, treasure, fights, tropical islands, parrots — it’s pretty much every pirate story you’ve ever read or seen all wrapped up into one awesome package. Though if Ritchie is directing a modern adaptation, expect a lot of slow-motion punching.
No word on casting on who they’re looking at but I’m sure Ritchie will try and get people he’s worked with previously. I wouldn’t surprised to see Gerard Butler’s name pop up in this somewhere.
Ritchie is producing with his partner Lionel Wigram, but before they can walk the plank, they’re working on a big screen version of ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ a movie that Steven Soderbergh was once attached to.
