Gerard Butler, Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman e Kate Winslet supercomici

Pioggia di star per la commedia priva di titolo prodotta da Peter Farrelly presso la Relativity Media. Tra gli interpreti anche Liev Schreiber, Emma Stone, Elizabeth Banks e Seann William Scott.

La Relativity Media ha appena annunciato l'avvio di produzione di una commedia, ancora priva di titolo, che vede riunito il gotha del cinema brillante made in USA. A produrre il progetto figurano, tra gli altri, Peter Farrelly, Charles Wessler, John Penotti della GreeneStreet Films, Ryan Kavanaugh della Relativity Media e la Witness Protection Films. L'idea centrale del film è realizzare una pellicola composta da una serie di divertenti sketch sul modello dei cult degli anni '70 Ridere per ridere di John Landis e The Groove Tube di Ken Shapiro. "La Relativity si è rivelata il partner perfetto per realizzare questo progetto straordinariamente complicato e riuscire a mettere insieme il film. Siamo eccitati all'idea di dar vita a un simile lavoro" ha commentato Peter Farrelly.

Tra i registi che hanno concluso i loro frammenti, oltre a Farrelly, figurano Brett Ratner, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Odenkirk e Griffin Dunne. Presto si aggiungeranno altri nomi. Eccezionalmente numeroso l'incredibile cast che vede coinvolti nel progetto Elizabeth Banks, Gerard Butler, Kieran Culkin, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Knoxville, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Moretz, Liev Schreiber, Seann William Scott, Tony Shalhoub, Emma Stone, Matt Walsh, Patrick Warburton, Naomi Watts e Kate Winslet. "Ci siamo seduti tutti insieme e a turno abbiamo riferito cosa credevamo divertente. Tutto questo si è traformato in brevi plot comici che sono entrati a far parte del film" ha spiegato Charler Wessler, da tempo collaboratore dei fratelli Farrelly. "Questo dovrà diventare il progetto più esilarante a cui abbiamo mai messo mano. Siamo sconvolti dalla quantità di talenti che siamo riusciti a mettere insieme e questo chiarisce la qualità della sceneggiatura".

In questa intervista radiofonica Gerry parla della sua interpretazione dello " Gnomo Sboccato" (Foul Mouth Leprechaun) e sembrerebbe davvero riferito al film di Farrelly

Gerard Butler To Play 'Perverse Leprechaun' In Peter Farrelly Sketch Comedy

'It's very funny. It's insane,' actor says at premiere of 'Bounty Hunter.'

Last week, word dropped that "There's Something About Mary" co-director Peter Farrelly and a crew of other filmmakers had assembled an insane cast of A-listers for a sketch-comedy film whose inspiration is the wacky 1977 classic "The Kentucky Fried Movie." Stars include Elizabeth Banks, Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber and Gerard Butler.

The names were tantalizing, but next to nothing was revealed about the content of the untitled comedy. But on Tuesday night on the red carpet for the premiere of "The Bounty Hunter," Butler kicked MTV News an amazing description of his role in the film.

"I play the most perverse, disturbing, disgusting, foul-mouthed leprechaun you could ever imagine," he said. "I've been kidnapped by Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott so they can get their pot of gold. They don't really quite realize what they've bargained for. They land themselves in a bit of trouble."

It gets better still. To fit into the shoes of a wee leprechaun, the famously buff star of "300" and "Gamer" will be swapping out his body for that of another actor for some CGI-assisted comedy.

"It's funny because we're using that technology from 'Benjamin Button' — what's the politically correct term? A little person? — and they're going to put my head onto the little person," Butler said. "It's very funny. It's insane."

Wait, are you messing with us? Is this a St. Patrick's Day prank or something?

"It's for real," the Scottish-born actor assured us. "You have to see it to believe it."
